Radiology is the Eye of Medicine

Call for abstracts

Submit your work to the scientific session.

Every abstract is blind peer-reviewed by two members of the scientific committee. Read the rules below, then work through the five-step portal it saves each step as you go.

Radiology is the Eye of Medicine

Deadline 30 November 2026

The portal closes at 23:59 PKT on the deadline. Late submissions are not accepted and the system enforces it there is no grace period.

Who can submit, and how much.

Verified account required

Create an account and click the verification link we email you. Unverified accounts cannot sign in or submit.

Maximum three abstracts

Each author account may hold up to three abstracts in total, drafts included. A fourth is rejected by the portal.

Original, unpublished work

Work must be original. If it has been presented elsewhere you must declare the event; undeclared prior presentation is grounds for withdrawal.

Co-author consent

The submitting author is the corresponding author and is responsible for confirming that every co-author consents to submission.

English only, and every field is mandatory

Abstracts are accepted in English. The portal validates each step in full before it saves, so a step cannot be half-completed write your text elsewhere first if you prefer, then paste it in.

02Categories

Choose one track, then name your subspecialty.

The track determines which review panel sees your abstract and which session it is grouped into. The subspecialty is free text and is used to build the session running order.

01Scientific track

Diagnostic Imaging Sciences & Research

Original research across CT, MRI, ultrasound, radiography and nuclear medicine diagnostic accuracy, cohort studies, audits and case series.

02Scientific track

Interventional & Image-Guided Therapy

Vascular and non-vascular intervention, oncologic ablation, embolisation, biopsy technique, drainage and image-guided procedural outcomes.

03Scientific track

Imaging Technology, AI & New Modalities

Artificial intelligence, radiomics, photon-counting CT, contrast media, dose optimisation, PACS/informatics and quality-and-safety work.

Subspecialties recognised

Five steps, saved as you go.

Steps may be completed in any order and re-saved as often as you like. Submission only unlocks once all four content steps are complete.

Presentation information

The track your abstract is reviewed under, your subspecialty, and the title as it will appear in the programme.

  • Scientific track
  • Subspecialty
  • Presentation title

Abstract content

The abstract itself. Every prose field is mandatory and the whole step is validated together when you save.

  • Introduction
  • Abstract summary
  • Learning objectives
  • Materials & methods
  • Results & conclusions
  • Prior presentation declaration

Review & submit

Read everything back in one view, then submit. Once submitted an abstract becomes read-only and cannot be edited.

  • Full preview
  • Declaration
  • Final submission

04Formatting

Word limits and field rules.

The portal counts words live and warns you before you exceed a limit. Tables, figures and references are not part of the abstract text.

  • Presentation title

    ≤ 20 words

State the finding, not the topic. Avoid abbreviations that are not universally understood in radiology.

  • Short biography

    ≤ 300 words

Written in the third person. Used verbatim by the session moderator to introduce you.

  • Introduction

    ≤ 300 words

Why the question matters and what is already known. One or two sentences of background is usually enough.

  • Abstract summary

    ≤ 400 words

A standalone summary of the whole study. This is the text printed in the conference book if accepted.

  • Learning objectives

    Minimum 5, one per line

Complete the sentence “After this presentation the audience will be able to…”. Do not restate the title.

  • Materials & methods

    ≤ 300 words

Design, setting, period, inclusion criteria, imaging protocol, reference standard and statistical approach.

  • Results & conclusions

    ≤ 300 words

Report actual numbers with denominators and confidence intervals. “Results will be presented” is an automatic rejection.

05Review

How your abstract is judged.

Submissions are anonymised and sent to two members of the scientific committee. Reviewers do not see the author name, institution or city. Where the two scores diverge, a third reviewer adjudicates.

Each abstract is scored on four axes, weighted equally:

  • Originality does this add something to what the room already knows?
  • Methodological soundness is the design capable of answering the question?
  • Clarity can a reader follow the argument without the full paper?
  • Relevance does it change practice, particularly practice in Pakistan?

Outcomes are emailed to the corresponding author by 5 November 2026 and appear in the portal at the same time. The committee’s decision on acceptance and presentation format is final.

06If accepted

How you will present.

Oral Presentation

8 minutes of presentation followed by 2 minutes of discussion in a themed scientific session.

Poster Presentation

Printed A0 portrait poster displayed for the full three days, with a moderated poster walk on Day 2.

E-Poster

Digital poster shown on the conference display wall; no printing required.

Case of the Year

Shortlisted imaging cases presented in the plenary hall and judged live by the faculty panel.
